Libelium has won the Best of WSN Application at the Wireless Sensor Networks & RTLS Europe, celebrated this week in Berlin, Germany. The award recognizes Libelium’s wireless sensor network, Waspmote and its versatility and efficiency for the deployment of Smart Cities projects. The judges – belonging to Fraunhofer IIS, Germany and the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, USA – remarked the capabilities of the platform for offering both environmental and Smart Parking services, the effective combination of different communication protocols in the network (ZigBee, Wifi and GPRS) and its scalability, proved by a 1,000 node deployment.
